Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper/Forklift Operator to join our dynamic grounds maintenance team. This role involves maintaining the aesthetic appeal, safety, and functionality of outdoor spaces, including athletic fields, landscaped areas, and golf course grounds. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and proficiency in operating various groundskeeping and landscaping equipment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of pristine outdoor environments through manual labor, equipment operation, and landscape management. Responsibilities Perform routine groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and planting to ensure well-maintained athletic fields, landscaped areas, and golf courses. Operate forklifts safely for transporting materials, equipment, and supplies around the site. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure optimal watering schedules. Use hand tools and power tools for landscape maintenance, gardening, and equipment repairs. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of soil, mulch, plants, and other materials to support landscaping projects. Manage pesticide applications following safety protocols to control pests and maintain healthy turf and plant life. Perform routine inspections of groundskeeping equipment; conduct maintenance and repairs to ensure safe operation. Assist with land grading, aeration, seeding, fertilizing, and other lawn care activities. Operate company vehicles responsibly for transportation between work sites. Follow safety procedures related to power tool usage and equipment handling to prevent accidents. Skills Proficiency in irrigation system management and troubleshooting. Experience with athletic field groundskeeping and golf course maintenance. Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including gardening practices. Ability to operate ground maintenance machinery such as chainsaws, power trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers safely. Familiarity with pesticide management protocols and application techniques. Strong understanding of groundskeeping best practices for turf health and aesthetics. Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and prolonged outdoor work. Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools for landscaping projects. Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure longevity and safety. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles responsibly. Attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to maintaining outdoor environments. Pay:
