Job Description

Whetstone Academy is seeking a dedicated and reliable Part-Time Maintenance Staff to join our team and help maintain our facilities. We are a vibrant and growing educational institution committed to providing a safe and inspiring environment for our students. Schedule:
Part-time, flexible hours Monday through Friday (approximately 20 hours per week). Schedule to be determined based on the needs of the academy.
Compensation:
$17.50 - $22 per hour commensurate with experience and/or education. Raise after 90 days.
Responsibilities:
Maintain the overall appearance and safety of the school grounds, including facilities and grounds as needed. Replace HVAC air filters and light fixture bulbs. Painting interior or exterior walls, trim, and porches. Plumbing repairs. Drywall repairs. Pressure washing duties. Blow off pads and porches Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing and weedeating. Rake leaves, remove debris, and ensure the grounds are free of litter. Assist with snow removal and ice control during winter months. Ensure proper storage and handling of tools and equipment. Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager. Assist with setting up for outdoor events and activities. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in maintenance tasks. Knowledge of basic landscaping gardening practices. Ability to use various tools and power equipment. Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, such as mowers, weedeaters, and blowers. Physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable and punctual. Valid driver's license (preferred).
