Full-Time Position Summary Cedar Cove Ranch is seeking a dependable, hardworking Ranch Hand

•Grounds, Landscape & Maintenance to help maintain and continuously improve our ranch, landscaping, lodging areas, guest spaces, facilities, and equipment. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, building and fixing things, and seeing the results of their work. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping a property beautiful, functional, safe, and guest-ready and can recognize what needs attention without always waiting to be asked. Cedar Cove Ranch is both a working ranch and a luxury guest destination. This position plays an important role in ensuring the ranch grounds and facilities reflect the level of quality our guests expect. Primary Responsibilities Landscaping & Grounds Mow, weed-eat, edge, trim, and maintain ranch grounds and landscaped areas Plant and maintain grass, trees, shrubs, flower beds, and other landscaping Seed, fertilize, water, and maintain newly established lawn and landscape areas Assist with irrigation installation, adjustments, repairs, and maintenance Maintain entrances, roadsides, lodge grounds, patios, fire pits, and outdoor gathering areas Trim trees and remove fallen limbs, brush, debris, and other property hazards Maintain landscaping around guest lodges and high-visibility areas to a high standard Assist with seasonal landscape projects and property beautification Ranch Projects & Property Improvements This position will be actively involved in new projects and improvements throughout the ranch , not simply routine maintenance.

Projects may include:

Building or repairing fences and gates Building decks, steps, walkways, benches, shelving, storage, and other ranch improvements Installing landscaping, edging, drainage, irrigation, rock, gravel, and outdoor features Building and improving fire-pit and outdoor gathering areas Installing signs, posts, lighting, and ranch fixtures Improving trails, roads, hunting areas, and recreational spaces Assisting with habitat and land-improvement projects Helping with lodge renovations and construction punch-list projects Supporting special projects related to new ranch facilities and guest amenities Carpentry experience is a strong plus. Someone comfortable measuring, cutting, building, repairing, and working with wood would be especially valuable in this role. Facility & Lodge Maintenance Perform routine preventative maintenance throughout ranch facilities Complete basic repairs involving doors, locks, hardware, fixtures, furniture, walls, and building components Perform minor plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and general handyman work within appropriate skill level Replace light bulbs, filters, batteries, hardware, and other routine maintenance items Inspect lodges and guest areas for maintenance issues and address problems promptly Maintain decks, patios, fire pits, outdoor lighting, and recreational areas Identify when repairs require a licensed or specialized contractor Equipment & Ranch Support Safely operate tractors, zero-turn mowers, UTVs, trailers, chainsaws, power tools, and other ranch equipment Perform basic preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment Keep the shop, maintenance areas, tools, and supplies clean and organized Assist with moving furniture, equipment, supplies, landscaping materials, and construction materials Help other ranch departments with projects and additional manpower when needed Guest & Event Readiness Conduct regular property walks to identify maintenance or appearance issues Keep guest-facing outdoor areas clean, orderly, safe, and attractive Prepare ranch grounds for hunts, retreats, weddings, events, and guest arrivals Respond promptly to maintenance issues during guest stays Work professionally and respectfully around guests Understand that even behind-the-scenes maintenance work contributes directly to the Cedar Cove guest experience What We're Looking For Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Experience in ranch work, landscaping, groundskeeping, construction, facilities maintenance, or a skilled trade Landscaping and lawn-care knowledge strongly preferred Carpentry or woodworking experience is a plus General handyman and mechanical ability Comfortable operating tractors, mowers, UTVs, trailers, chainsaws, and power tools Ability to troubleshoot problems and find practical solutions Comfortable working outdoors year-round in Texas weather Strong attention to detail Self-starter who sees what needs to be done and takes initiative Willingness to work on a wide variety of projects Professional demeanor around guests Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift approximately 50-75 lbs. and perform physically demanding work What Success Looks Like The ranch grounds and landscaping are consistently well maintained, attractive, and guest-ready . Maintenance issues are caught and corrected before they become larger problems. Ranch improvement projects move forward consistently rather than sitting on a list. Tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained and organized. Projects are completed with attention to quality and appearance. Most importantly, this person takes ownership of the property —when they see something that needs mowing, fixing, building, cleaning, improving, or maintaining, they take initiative to get it done. Pay:

$13.00

•$17.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
