About the Opportunity We are looking for a Fertilizer Technician to join our team and help maintain healthy, beautiful lawns throughout Southern New Hampshire. This is a hands-on outdoor position focused primarily on fertilizer applications and lawn care. You will work closely with our Fertilizer Supervisor to complete scheduled treatments and help keep our clients' properties looking their best throughout the growing season. If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in your work, and want to build your knowledge of turf and plant health, this could be a great fit. What You Will Do Apply fertilizers, lime, and other approved lawn treatments. Complete scheduled fertilizer applications for residential and commercial properties. Inspect lawns for weeds, pests, disease, and other common issues. Report lawn or plant health concerns to the Fertilizer Supervisor. Follow application schedules, product labels, and company procedures. Maintain accurate application records. Safely operate fertilizer spreaders, sprayers, and other lawn care equipment. Keep equipment and work vehicles clean and in good condition. Follow all safety procedures, state regulations, and product guidelines. Represent Design Works professionally while working on client properties. Communicate with the Fertilizer Supervisor and maintenance team about property conditions or concerns. Answer basic client questions about fertilizer applications when needed. What We're Looking For 1-3 years of experience in fertilizer application, turf care, horticulture, landscaping, or a related field preferred. NH Fertilizer Applicator License preferred, or willingness to obtain one. Basic knowledge of turf, plants, soil, and common New England lawn issues. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Reliable, organized, and able to work independently. Strong attention to detail. Commitment to safety, quality, and continued learning. Bonus Experience NH Supervisory or Commercial Fertilizer License. Experience with lawn care or plant health care. Basic irrigation knowledge. Turfgrass or horticulture education.
