Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Brick Mason to join our dynamic construction team. As a Brick Mason, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures using bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other building materials. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of durable, aesthetically pleasing structures that meet project specifications and safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new builds to renovations, utilizing your masonry skills to bring architectural visions to life. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of masonry work. Lay bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other materials with precision using hand tools and power tools. Install rebar reinforcement and perform concrete forming and finishing to create strong foundational elements. Execute mortar work with skillful application for bonding bricks and stones securely while maintaining aesthetic appeal. Build masonry scaffolds safely and efficiently to access high or hard-to-reach areas during construction or restoration projects. Perform plastering, stucco application, tile laying, and drywall installation as needed for finishing touches. Follow strict safety protocols on-site to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and team members. Requirements Proven experience in masonry work, including bricklaying, stone masonry, concrete masonry, and restoration projects. Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and schematics. Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels; power tools including saws and drills; heavy equipment operation is a plus. Familiarity with building material installation techniques like metal stud framing, drywall finishing, roofing support structures, and caulking. Ability to interpret construction plans accurately and follow detailed specifications for various masonry tasks. Experience with concrete finishing techniques including pouring, smoothing, curing processes; rebar installation; concrete forming; tile laying; stucco application; and mortar work. Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction sites including scaffold building and heavy equipment operation. Excellent physical stamina for standing, lifting heavy materials, climbing scaffolds; strong attention to detail in craftsmanship.
