Position Overview We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Landscape Construction Worker to join our team in building high-quality outdoor living spaces. The ideal candidate has experience in landscape and outdoor construction, including paver installation, artificial turf, retaining walls, masonry, drainage, irrigation, and general construction labor. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently as part of a team. Key Duties & Responsibilities Install hardscape features including pavers, retaining walls, stonework, concrete, outdoor kitchens, fire features, and other landscape elements. Assist with artificial turf installation, grading, drainage systems, irrigation, and soil preparation. Perform site preparation, excavation, trenching, backfilling, compaction, and base preparation. Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites. Operate hand tools, power tools, compactors, saws, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently. Follow project plans, layouts, and directions from supervisors to ensure quality workmanship. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times. Assist with concrete work, carpentry, fencing, pergolas, and other landscape construction projects as needed. Work effectively with team members to complete projects on schedule. Inspect work for quality and make corrections when necessary. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards. Qualifications & Skills 2+ years of experience in landscape construction, hardscape installation, or general construction preferred. Experience with pavers, retaining walls, artificial turf, drainage, irrigation, masonry, or concrete work is a plus. Ability to safely operate construction tools and equipment. Basic understanding of construction measurements, layouts, and grade setting. Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding work. Dependable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment. Ability to follow instructions and maintain high-quality workmanship. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record is required. Applicants without a valid driver's license and clean record will not be considered. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. (occasionally up to 75 lbs.). Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely. Ability to push, pull, and move materials and equipment as required. Work Environment Outdoor residential and commercial construction sites throughout San Diego County. Exposure to dust, noise, heavy equipment, and construction materials.
