Scoop Up Your Next Big Role Killer Whale Creamery is a La Jolla favorite, where everything is made in-house: our ice cream, our soft serve, and our waffle cones fresh off the iron. We're part of Blues , a fast-growing San Diego restaurant group behind Blue Whale La Jolla, The Barista Botanist, and Palmys. We're looking for a General Manager who wants more than a job. You'll have your own shop to run, a team to build, and a real path to grow as Blues keeps expanding. What You'll Do Run the shop like it's yours, from opening to close Hire, train, and lead a team people actually want to work for Oversee in-house production of ice cream, soft serve, and waffle cones so every scoop is on point Own the numbers: inventory, ordering, food cost, labor, and sales goals Keep the shop spotless and fully compliant with health and safety standards Help shape our social media presence, local events, and community partnerships Pitch and launch new seasonal flavors with group leadership What You Bring Management or supervisory experience in a fast-paced restaurant, café, or retail setting A hands-on, lead-by-example style, and you're happy to jump behind the counter A knack for building, coaching, and keeping great teams Comfort with P&L, scheduling apps, and inventory systems ServSafe Manager certification (or ability to get it) Availability for weekends, evenings, and our busy summer season Why You'll Love It Here A real growth path within a group that's opening new concepts Direct mentorship from our leadership team Creative freedom to put your stamp on the menu, the vibe, and the brand Dining discounts across all Blues restaurants A shop steps from the beach in La Jolla Ready to lead the sweetest shop in La Jolla?
