Essential Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of general labor tasks to support heavy civil construction, working closely with heavy equipment operators in congested or tight areas to ensure efficient site preparation Assist with tasks such as trenching, material handling and cutting and clueing conduit piping Communicate clearly and respectfully with crew members, supervisors, and subcontractors Promote a culture of safety and productivity by following allpany, client, and regulatory safety standards and procedures
Qualifications:
One-year prior experience working in a mining, utilities or earth works environment as a laborer; a background as a track hoe or skid steer operator is preferred Proactive and independent self-starter who is safety focused Basic understanding of construction site safety practices; OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus Must be able to pass pre-access drug and alcohol test and provided a valid driver's license
Work Conditions:
Monday to Friday working from 7 am to 3pm, working 8 hours per day, overtime rates after 40 hours worked per week and could be available at the discretion of the client Living out allowance provided to those that are eligible This is a long term, site-based opportunity that will require travel
