Role Description The Assistant Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Charlotte, NC. This position supports the Superintendent in overseeing daily field operations, including coordinating subcontractors, monitoring work progress, and ensuring adherence to project schedules. The Assistant Superintendent helps enforce safety protocols, conducts site walks, and addresses issues that may impact quality or timeline. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing plans and specifications, assisting with inspections, documenting jobsite activities, and maintaining clear communication with project managers and trade partners. The role also involves helping manage logistics, site cleanliness, and material deliveries to keep the project running smoothly. Qualifications Experience in construction field supervision, preferably in commercial or multifamily projects. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules. Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and OSHA guidelines. Effective communication skills for working with superintendents, subcontractors, and project teams. Organizational and time-management skills to track activities, priorities, and deadlines. Basic proficiency with construction management software, email, and spreadsheet tools. Ability to work on-site daily in Charlotte, NC, including occasional extended hours as project needs require. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in construction management or related field is preferred.
