Construction Shop Manager Frey Construction & Home Improvement, LLC is looking for an experienced, organized, and hands-on Construction Shop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our construction shop and yard. This position is responsible for keeping our tools, equipment, materials, fleet, and shop operations organized, maintained, and ready for our field crews. The ideal candidate has construction or equipment experience, strong mechanical knowledge, and takes pride in keeping things safe, efficient, and running smoothly. What We Offer Full-time position Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance - Frey pays 50% after 60 days $25,000 company-paid life insurance after 60 days 401(k) with company contribution Paid time off Stable, growing construction company Opportunity to take ownership of an important part of our operations What You'll Do Manage daily operations of the construction shop and yard Maintain accurate inventory of tools, equipment, materials, parts, and supplies Coordinate equipment, tool, and fleet maintenance, repairs, and inspections Ensure equipment and tools are serviced, organized, and ready for field crews Receive, organize, store, and distribute materials and equipment Load and prepare materials and equipment for upcoming projects Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews to meet project needs Order parts, supplies, and materials while maintaining cost control Keep the shop and yard clean, organized, and efficient Conduct regular inspections of equipment, vehicles, tools, and shop facilities Identify equipment or operational issues and find solutions to minimize downtime Maintain work orders, records, inventory documentation, and other paperwork Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, mechanics, and outside service providers Follow and promote company safety policies and OSHA requirements Help create a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and professionalism What We're Looking For Construction, equipment, shop, fleet, fabrication, or related experience Strong organizational and time-management skills Mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond to changing field needs Strong communication and leadership skills Basic computer skills, including email and spreadsheets Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and work orders Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Experience operating or overseeing forklifts, skid steers, loaders, or similar equipment is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to work in a construction shop and outdoor yard Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work around equipment for extended periods Ability to lift and move materials and tools as needed Ability to work in varying weather conditions Ability to wear required PPE Schedule Full-time.
