Primary Function :
Under minimal supervision, the Visual Inspector provides plastic pipeline joint inspection services to verify quality and compliance with industry and client standards on behalf of Storti Quality Services' clients.
Payrate:
This position will start at $20/hr during the training period. Once training is successfully completed, the pay rate will move to $22/hr. Company vehicle provided!
Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect fusion and mechanical joints of polyethylene (PE) natural gas pipelines to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Apply and enforce client specifications regarding pipeline joint inspection Verify construction crew personnel performing pipe joining hold valid and current Operator Qualifications (OQ). Confirm calibration, condition, and compliance of contractor pipe joining equipment per client and manufacturer specifications. Conduct visual inspections of PE pipe alignment, insertion depth, and proper record Prepare and submit daily inspection reports detailing work performed, services provided, and any deficiencies or deviations noted. Maintain appropriate Operator Qualification credentials for assigned Participate in daily job safety briefings and adhere to all company and client safety policies and Complete as built drawings of pipeline Utilize GPS receiver equipment to accurately gather data of each pipeline joint Maintain proper documentation of inspection activities and immediately communicate inspection failures to appropriate company personnel. Produce a daily report of the work performed, inspection services completed, and deficiencies or deviations. Be accessible and promptly respond to Storti Quality Services or client personnel by email or phone as needed. Report any incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions Perform other duties as
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient with computer applications and functions including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office, ESRI, and other related software and reporting tools. Proficiency with basic computer software and reporting Ability to work independently with minimal Effective communication skills with project team members, contractors, and Ability to travel to various job sites and work extended hours as required by project
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED is required Previous field utility or construction experience is
NGA Operator Qualifications Physical Demands :
Duties are performed primarily in an outdoor setting with exposure to changing weather conditions. Must be able to perform moderate physical activity including somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily productive/technical nature. Ambulatory across uneven surfaces of a construction excavation work zone, frequent bending at knees and waist. Must be able to perform work in a very loud, active construction environment. Capable of working outdoors which may require exposure to various environmental conditions, including the potential presence of: stinging insects such as bees, wasps, and hornets. Employees must be able to recognize and avoid insect habitats, follow established safety protocols, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary. domestic animals such as dogs and cats wildlife such as snakes, deer, and small mammals The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers and clients. Must be able to exchange accurate information.

Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
