Candidates will be working on projects including but not limited to Airport, Transit/Rail, Highways and Bridges; Education, Military, Industrial, Water, Wastewater, CSO Tunnels and /Pump stations in the Puget Sound Area. Candidates need to be familiar with Standard Specifications and Drawings for the City of Seattle, WSDOT, Port of Seattle, SDOT, King County and Federally Funded public works projects.
INSPECTORS
(Civil and Electrical) Will be responsible for overseeing public infrastructure construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities comply with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications. Your expertise will help maintain high standards of quality control, safety, and regulatory compliance across various civil infrastructure projects, including pipelines, roads, bridges, and public works. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to vital community development initiatives while working on diverse construction sites. Duties and Requirements 6+ years in electrical inspection, 5-10 years' experience in construction management providing civil inspection services, hazardous waste operations training; proficiency in Bluebeam, SharePoint, Excel, and Outlook Driver's license (for field inspections).
Inspection and Compliance:
Conduct inspections of all types of electrical installations to ensure compliance with
RCW 19.28, WAC
296-46B, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and industry standards. Conduct comprehensive inspections of electrical and civil construction sites to verify adherence to plans, specifications, and building codes. Review construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to interpret project requirements accurately. Perform quality control assessments and construction quality inspections to ensure work meets safety regulations and regulatory standards. Collect data through site visits, document findings meticulously, and prepare detailed inspection reports for project stakeholders. Monitor construction site activities to enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with environmental policies. Collaborate with construction management teams to identify issues early and recommend corrective actions for quality assurance. Verify that construction work aligns with contracts, specifications, and regulatory requirements for public infrastructure projects. Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation purposes. Extensive construction site experience with a focus on public works or infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of construction regulations, building code analysis, and safety standards. Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans. Experience in conducting construction inspections—both electrical and civil—to ensure compliance with quality standards. Knowledge of pipeline installation processes and related civil infrastructure components. Ability to analyze technical data accurately and identify deviations from project specifications. Familiarity with construction management practices including contracts, data collection methods, and quality assurance protocols. Join us in shaping the future of community infrastructure.
