Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to guide installation and troubleshooting processes. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults or system inefficiencies. Troubleshoot electrical systems efficiently by diagnosing issues with industrial electrical equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other automation components. Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), local electrical codes, and safety procedures to guarantee a safe working environment. Perform high-voltage wiring tasks safely on construction sites or renovation projects while adhering to strict safety protocols. Use hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprint reading skills to execute precise electrical wiring installations or modifications. Collaborate with project teams during construction or renovation phases to ensure timely completion of electrical work aligned with project specifications. Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, installations, and compliance checks for accountability and future reference. Experience Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial environments with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical wiring, low voltage systems, and troubleshooting complex electrical issues. Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and safety procedures related to electrical work. Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical installations or upgrades. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is highly desirable. Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, power tools, hand tools, and blueprint reading equipment. Ability to interpret schematics accurately while following all safety protocols during installation or repair activities.
