You've spent years learning the electrical trade. You know what it takes to complete a commercial project safely, correctly, and profitably—and you've probably seen what happens when bids and plans are prepared without enough real-world field knowledge. At LSM Heating Plumbing Electric—formerly Lynden Sheet Metal—we're looking for an experienced Washington 01 Journeyman Electrician who wants to use that knowledge in a larger way. This is an opportunity to combine commercial fieldwork with estimating, bidding, project planning, and helping shape the continued growth of our commercial electrical department. It is not strictly an office position, and it is not simply another field-electrician opening. The balance can develop around the successful candidate's strengths and experience. The Opportunity You may be a strong commercial electrician who has already helped estimate work or coordinate projects. Or you may have spent most of your career in the field and are ready to develop the next side of your profession. In this position, you may:

• Perform commercial electrical service and project work
• Review plans, specifications, and project requirements
• Prepare estimates and competitive bids
• Develop accurate labor and material projections
• Perform takeoffs and obtain material pricing
• Visit potential jobsites and evaluate project conditions
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and project opportunities
• Coordinate awarded work with field employees and other departments
• Help develop customer and contractor relationships
• Mentor electricians and apprentices
• Improve estimating, planning, and departmental processes
• Help determine which commercial electrical opportunities LSM pursues
• Contribute to the long-term direction of the department Your field experience will not be treated as something separate from estimating.

What We're Looking For Required:

• Current Washington State 01 Journey Level Electrician Certificate
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Strong commercial electrical experience
• Solar installation and troubleshooting experience
• Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code and applicable local requirements
• Ability to read and interpret commercial plans, specifications, and one-line diagrams
• Comfort using computers and learning estimating and project-management systems Estimating experience is strongly preferred, but we're willing to consider an exceptional field electrician who has the aptitude and genuine interest to grow into that part of the position.
