Our work includes signs, furniture, shelving, wine racks, BBQ pits, handrails, stairs, and other built-to-order pieces. What you'll do Review customer ideas, drawings, photos, specifications, and measurements. Clarify project details needed to prepare an estimate. Calculate material, labor, finishing, and other project costs. Request vendor pricing when needed. Prepare written estimates with a clear scope of work and assumptions. Revise estimates when designs or specifications change. Work with the project manager and fabrication team to hand off approved jobs. What we're looking for Estimating experience in metal fabrication, welding, construction, manufacturing, or a related trade. Ability to read drawings and calculate materials and labor. Strong attention to detail and confidence working with numbers. Clear written and verbal communication. Proficiency with spreadsheets and estimating tools.
