Job Description

Summary A reputable general contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to manage the full bidding process for commercial and healthcare construction projects. This role is responsible for developing accurate cost estimates, coordinating subcontractor bids, and supporting preconstruction efforts from initial review through final proposal. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple bids while working closely with project management and field teams. Key Responsibilities Manage the full bid process from scope review through final proposal submission Review drawings and specifications to develop detailed scopes of work Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor bids Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and proposals Coordinate with Project Managers on schedules and project planning Perform job walks and site visits as needed Maintain bid logs, subcontractor records, and estimating documentation Support project setup and handoff to operations teams Assist with change orders, cost tracking, and project documentation as needed Participate in OAC meetings and preconstruction discussions Qualifications 3+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor Experience in commercial or healthcare construction preferred Strong understanding of construction documents, scopes, and subcontractor trades Experience with Procore, Excel, and estimating software preferred Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail Compensation & Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid holidays and PTO Long-term growth within a stable construction pipeline
