In this role, you'll play a key part in analyzing plans, preparing bids, and ensuring successful project outcomes. Your expertise in commercial or heavy construction estimating will directly contribute to winning new work and delivering exceptional results for our clients. About The Role We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in commercial concrete and civile or water treatment work who also brings prior Project Management experience. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, evaluating project scopes, and assisting in project planning and execution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and understands both the technical and operational aspects of construction projects. Why Choose Dugan & Meyers? Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for sitework, concrete, and civil projects. Analyze drawings, specifications, and proposals to determine scope and requirements. Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier quotes. Develop budgets and value engineering options to optimize project costs. Transition successful bids to operations, supporting project kickoff and scheduling. Utilize prior project management experience to provide input on constructability, sequencing, and cost impacts. Track bid results and maintain relationships with clients and trade partners. Qualifications 5 years commercial construction experience, BS in Construction Management or Engineering, software proficiency (Excel, Bluebeam). Experience with concrete, earthwork. Prior experience managing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
