Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Estimating Assistant to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will support the estimating department by preparing detailed cost analyses, reviewing blueprints, and assisting in the development of accurate project budgets for commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of construction processes and metal industry standards. Duties Review RFQ to accuracy and types associated proposal or change order. Emails proposals/change orders and supporting backups to Sales Administrator and Sales then save all to Sales drive on network Files and maintain paperwork pending order entry. Create sales orders, project and administrative files. Set up jobs in order management software, modify sales orders and document all changes. Submit all entry and changes of sales orders for weekly reporting. Follow standard operational procedures, notify management of pending problems and/or expedited requests. Skills Proficiency with Microsoft applications, particularly Word & Excel. Knowledge of grammar, administrative tasks, and accounting practices. Attention to detail and accuracy are imperative. Must have ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Effective client communication skills to clarify project details and estimate assumptions. Experience creating proposals, enter orders, process change orders and manage papework effectently. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple estimates simultaneously.

Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
