Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Rig Manager to lead and oversee all operations on an oil rig site. Duties Supervise daily rig operations, including drilling, rigging, and equipment maintenance activities. Manage and coordinate the crew, assigning tasks and ensuring effective communication across teams. Oversee the operation of pumping systems, pumps, and other heavy equipment to maintain optimal performance. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection. Conduct troubleshooting of mechanical issues with rigging equipment, pumps, and other critical systems to minimize downtime. Implement OSHA standards and safety procedures on-site to promote a safe working environment for all personnel. Oversee the transportation of equipment via commercial trucks when necessary for site logistics or supply deliveries. Monitor drilling progress using horizontal drilling techniques and ensure compliance with project timelines. Maintain detailed logs of operations, incidents, safety checks, and equipment maintenance records. Coordinate with geologists, engineers, and other specialists to support drilling objectives and troubleshoot technical challenges. Skills Extensive experience with pipeline installation, rigging techniques, and heavy equipment operation in outdoor or construction site environments. Strong mechanical knowledge related to oil rigs, pumps, pumping systems, and drilling machinery. Proven ability in crew management with excellent leadership skills to motivate and guide team members effectively. Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical issues quickly to reduce operational delays. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices for safety protocol adherence in hazardous environments. Experience with horizontal drilling processes within the oil & gas industry is highly desirable. Ability to operate commercial trucks safely while complying with transportation regulations. Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE), respiratory protection gear usage, and safety procedures on construction sites. Outdoor work experience in challenging weather conditions is preferred for maintaining high performance levels under various circumstances.
