Job Description
Volunteer Land Development is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator/ Ground Laborer to join our growing team. We specialize in residential and commercial land development, site preparation, grading, utilities, excavation, road construction, and storm drainage projects. We're looking for a dependable operator who takes pride in quality work, works safely, and can keep production moving. Responsibilities Operate excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, compact track loaders, rollers, and other heavy equipment. Perform rough and fine grading. Install storm drainage, water, and sewer utilities. Read and work from construction plans, grade stakes, and specifications. Load and unload trucks safely. Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance. Work alongside laborers, foremen, and project managers to complete projects efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe job site. Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures. Perform general ground labor including site cleanup, material handling, hand digging, and assistting crews as needed. Qualifications Must have experience operating heavy equipment in land development and site work. Must be able to read and understand construction plans. Ability to operate equipment with precision around utilities and structures. Valid driver's license required. Must be dependable, punctual, and have reliable transportation.
