We are seeking a dependable and experienced Class A CDL Dump Truck Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator to join our excavation and site development team. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable both driving a dump truck and operating heavy equipment on active construction sites . Job Responsibilities Safely operate dump trucks to haul stone, dirt, topsoil, fill, construction debris, and other materials to and from job sites. Operate heavy equipment including excavators, skid steers, dozers, and other construction equipment . Perform excavation, grading, site preparation, backfilling, trenching, loading trucks, and general earthwork. Load and unload equipment and materials when required. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment. Complete required DOT logs, inspection reports, and other documentation. Secure equipment and loads properly for transportation. Maintain trucks and equipment in clean, safe working condition. Identify and report mechanical or safety issues promptly. Follow DOT regulations and all company and job-site safety procedures. Assist ground crews and perform general job-site duties when equipment or trucking work is not required. Communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, customers, and other crew members. Be willing to work outdoors in varying weather and job-site conditions. Maintain dependable attendance and arrive ready to work on time. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL required. Clean or acceptable driving record. Previous dump truck driving experience strongly preferred. Heavy equipment operating experience required. Experience operating excavators, skid steers, and dozers preferred. Knowledge of excavation, grading, drainage, and site development is a plus. Ability to safely load, haul, and dump construction materials. Ability to perform basic equipment inspections and recognize maintenance issues. Must be able to follow instructions and work independently when necessary. Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to work as part of a crew. Ability to perform physical construction work when necessary.
