Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Motor Grader Operator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to perform precise grading, excavation, and utility work on various construction sites. Duties Operate motor graders to perform accurate grading, leveling, and excavation tasks in compliance with project specifications and safety regulations Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on construction machinery, including Caterpillar graders, loaders, excavators, backhoes, and water trucks, ensuring optimal performance and safety Assist with construction utility work such as utility locating and trenching to support infrastructure installation projects Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe work environment for all team members Collaborate with other heavy equipment operators like excavator and loader operators to coordinate tasks efficiently on active construction sites Perform site preparation activities including excavation, grading, and backfilling to prepare for paving or other construction phases Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety inspections in accordance with company policies Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as motor graders, excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks in a construction environment Strong knowledge of construction grading techniques and excavation processes Familiarity with construction utility work including utility locating and trenching procedures Ability to adhere strictly to federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues and performing routine maintenance tasks Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving preferred Demonstrated understanding of heavy equipment operation standards and safety regulations across construction sites Construction site experience with familiarity in excavation, utility installation, and site preparation activities Join our team if you're passionate about delivering high-quality construction projects while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
