In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and coatings to a variety of surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise will help transform spaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications and client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new constructions to restoration and remodeling efforts, utilizing your craftsmanship and attention to detail. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, airless spray equipment, or other hand tools. Read blueprints and schematics to determine the scope of work and select appropriate materials. Perform surface repairs such as plastering, caulking, and patching to create smooth finishes. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks including trim carpentry, fixture installation, and stucco application. Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards are met during each phase of the project. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly. Collaborate with team members on renovation projects involving framing, masonry, concrete finishing, or restoration efforts. Requirements Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or construction painting projects. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and basic math skills for measuring and calculations. Familiarity with color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects. Hands-on experience with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, and power tools including airless paint sprayers. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately. Skills in plastering, stucco application, drywall finishing, caulking, trim carpentry, masonry or related trades are highly desirable. Construction site experience with knowledge of safety protocols is essential. Additional skills such as welding or industrial painting are a plus but not required.
