APPRENTICE & PLUMBERS HELPER JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an aspiring plumber to join our team as an Apprentice Plumber. You will learn the skills necessary to become a journeyman by working with a master plumber. As you gain experience, you may begin to complete some duties independently or with limited supervision. These duties include helping install, repair, and maintain pipes used for water distribution and wastewater disposal.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assisting with all plumbing duties, including repairs, maintenance, and other associated works as instructed by the Journeyman/Master plumber. 2. Assist in installing and maintaining plumbing systems. 3. Determine water supply networks and waste drainage systems. 4. Install systems used to transport water, waste, gases, or liquids. 5. Cut openings in structures in preparation for pipes in a straight, level manner. 6. Select all materials needed for installation, including type and size of pipe. 7. Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment. 8. Assemble and install valves and fittings. 9. Install other plumbing equipment, such as sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, and trim. 10. Measure, cut, and thread pipe. 11. Observe pressure gauges to fix leaks. 12. Test pipe systems and fix leaks. 13. Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and grade. 14. Transporting tools, equipment, and material to the job location as needed. 15. Assist in clean up of the job site after the work has been completed.

Apprentice Plumber Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
• Quick learner
• Familiar with common hand tools 33299 Hwy 75 North .
