Job Description

Plumbing Solutions Technicia Madison, WI Direct Hire $60/hour Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Plumber to join our team as a Plumbing Solutions Technician. This role combines hands-on service work with a consultative, solutions-driven approach. You will troubleshoot, repair, and install plumbing systems while also identifying opportunities, recommending improvements, and supporting project work from initial customer need through completion. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in the field, solving problems, and building strong customer relationships, while also taking a more proactive role in identifying and developing project opportunities. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install commercial and industrial plumbing systems in a timely, high-quality manner Perform preventive maintenance and ensure systems are fully operational before leaving job sites Diagnose issues, identify root causes, and provide clear, effective solutions Evaluate plumbing systems to identify repair, replacement, and upgrade opportunities Communicate with customers to understand needs, explain findings, and recommend solutions Develop scopes of work, assist with estimates, and support project opportunities through completion Interpret blueprints, specifications, and jobsite conditions Manage service calls and project-related work from initial contact through completion Complete service documentation, reports, and notes accurately and on time Utilize systems and tools to track workload, customer interactions, and opportunities Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams Identify opportunities for energy savings and system improvements Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency Support training and mentorship of team members as needed Qualifications Must be a Union Journeyman Plumber in good standing 5+ years of experience working with commercial or industrial plumbing systems Strong troubleshooting, repair, and installation experience Ability to identify customer needs and recommend practical solutions Interest or experience in estimating, quoting, or project support Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents Basic computer proficiency for documentation and tracking systems Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Backflow certification preferred Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities Ability to work in field environments including ladders, confined spaces, and active job sites Willingness to work overtime or on-call as needed
