Job Description

Seamless Gutter Technician Trust Roofing is hiring experienced Seamless Gutter Technicians to join our gutter installation team. We are looking to build a two-person crew consisting of a Senior Gutter Technician and a Gutter Helper , with placement and compensation based on experience and ability. Previous hands-on experience manufacturing and installing seamless gutters is required. This is not an entry-level construction position. Responsibilities Manufacture seamless gutters on-site using a roll-forming gutter machine Measure, cut, fabricate, and install seamless gutter systems Install gutters, downspouts, hangers, and related components Properly pitch and secure gutter systems for drainage and long-term performance Safely operate ladders, power tools, and gutter installation equipment Tow, maneuver, and back a large trailer containing the gutter machine and materials Maintain high standards for workmanship, safety, and jobsite cleanliness Work efficiently as part of a two-person installation crew Requirements Prior hands-on experience manufacturing and installing seamless gutters Valid driver's license and clean driving record Must provide your own reliable truck capable of safely towing the company-provided gutter trailer Must be experienced and comfortable towing, maneuvering, and backing a large/heavy trailer Must maintain appropriate vehicle insurance Must provide the standard hand and power tools needed for gutter installation Comfortable working from ladders and at heights Able to perform the physical requirements of exterior construction work and work outdoors in Florida weather Reliable, professional, and able to consistently produce quality work Equipment & Work Trust Roofing provides the gutter machine, trailer, materials, and scheduled installation work. Technicians are responsible for providing their own truck, required vehicle insurance, and standard installation tools. This is an employee position with Trust Roofing , not a subcontractor position. Compensation This position uses an allocation-based pay structure designed to reward skilled, efficient work. Jobs are assigned a set number of labor hours at $41.25 per allocated man-hour , and the total labor allocation is split between the two-person crew:
Senior Gutter Technician:
60% of the crew allocation
Gutter Helper:
40% of the crew allocation For example, a 10-man-hour job completed by a two-person crew (5 hours each) has a total labor allocation of $412.50. The Senior Technician earns $247.50, or an effective rate of $49.50/hour , and the Helper earns $165, or an effective rate of $33/hour . Because pay is based on the job's allocated labor rather than simply hours worked, completing quality work efficiently can increase your effective hourly earnings. Employees are guaranteed a minimum of $15/hour if allocation-based earnings ever fall below that amount. For perspective, in the example above, a job allocated for 5 hours of work per technician would have to take the Helper 11 hours or the Senior Technician 16.5 hours before their allocation would fall to the $15/hour minimum. Final crew placement will be based on experience, skill level, and ability to independently manufacture and install seamless gutter systems. If you have real seamless gutter installation experience, take pride in your work, and have the truck and towing capability needed to run with our gutter crew, we'd like to hear from you.
