Metal Fabrication Welder Job Duties Ensure and enforce all safety policies and procedures are upheld to ensure the wellbeing of our employees. This includes appropriate PPE, proper equipment usage, and maintenance. Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances. Drive continuous improvement efforts and projects by recommending or implementing measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency. Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals. Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. (QC) Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the fabrication production process. Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services. Assure the Production workforce maintains acceptable housekeeping practices for cleanliness and safety in accordance with company standards. Assist in the fabrication of all products, including welding. Required Qualifications - Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. A high school diploma Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must have at least five years of directly related experience in a Fabrication Shop environment. Minimum 2 years in a metal fabrication environment. Knowledge of working with metal to produce finished fabricated products. Working Knowledge of typical fabrication shop equipment. Brakes, Shears, Saws, Plasma tables, Rolls, and Welders Exhibit strong technical aptitude and ability to lead in a fast-paced environment. Must be physically capable of performing the work, with ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted.
