Manage daily shop operations and production schedules Supervise, train, and motivate shop employees Plan jobs and coordinate workflow to meet deadlines Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications Oversee sheet metal fabrication, cutting, forming, welding, and assembly Monitor job quality, productivity, and material usage Coordinate materials, equipment, and manpower Troubleshoot production issues and keep jobs moving Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Communicate with customers, vendors, project managers, and office staff Track job progress and help control labor and production costs Enforce company safety and quality standards

Qualification:

Previous experience managing a fabrication or sheet metal shop Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and equipment Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings Excellent leadership and communication skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities Dependable, safety-minded, and willing to lead by example Computer and scheduling skills are a plus
