About the
Role:
The Assistant General Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the overall management and operational success of a hospitality enterprise within the management of companies and enterprises sector. This position is responsible for assisting in the strategic planning and execution of hotel operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences, efficient resource utilization, and profitability. The role involves close collaboration with department heads to oversee daily activities, manage staff performance, and uphold safety and quality standards. The Assistant General Manager also contributes to pre-opening activities for new properties, ensuring all operational aspects are aligned with company goals. Ultimately, this position drives continuous improvement in service delivery, cost control, and problem resolution to enhance the organization's competitive position in the hospitality industry.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years experience in hotel management or a similar hospitality leadership role. Proven knowledge of yield management and food cost control practices. Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulatory compliance within the hospitality industry. Demonstrated ability to identify and solve operational problems effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in pre-opening hotel operations. Certification in hospitality management or related professional credentials. Familiarity with advanced property management systems and hospitality software. Experience working in multi-unit management environments. Strong leadership training or development experience.
Responsibilities:
Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery. Coordinate with department managers to monitor food costs, safety procedures, and yield management strategies. Lead pre-opening activities including staff recruitment, training, and operational setup for new hotel properties. Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions to improve guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
