About the
Role:
The Maintenance Technician at Honey Creek Resort plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of all resort facilities and equipment. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs to maintain a safe, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing environment for guests and staff. The technician will collaborate closely with management and other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and respond promptly to urgent repair needs. By proactively identifying potential problems and implementing preventative measures, the Maintenance Technician helps minimize downtime and enhances the overall guest experience. This role requires a hands-on approach, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining the high standards of Honey Creek Resort.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, preferably in hospitality or resort settings. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, HVAC, or related fields. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to resort operations. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems throughout the resort. Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, including appliances, lighting, and resort infrastructure components. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from resort staff and guests, ensuring timely resolution of issues. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of tools and supplies. Collaborate with management to schedule and prioritize maintenance projects to minimize disruption to resort operations.

The Maintenance Technician utilizes a broad range of technical skills daily, including electrical wiring, plumbing repairs, HVAC system maintenance, and mechanical troubleshooting to ensure all resort facilities operate efficiently. Strong diagnostic abilities enable the technician to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions, minimizing downtime and guest inconvenience. Communication skills are essential for coordinating with management and other departments to prioritize tasks and provide updates on maintenance status. Organizational skills support accurate record-keeping and inventory management, ensuring tools and materials are available when needed. Additionally, adherence to safety protocols and regulations is critical to maintaining a secure environment for both guests and staff.
