EXPERIENCE
High School graduate or GED. Two years relevant experience to job description.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current Florida Drivers License with CDL (Commercial Drivers License) Endorsement OSHA 10 Hour Certification preferred however we will provide access to an OSHA 10 hour class for certification for the right candidate.

Responsible for receiving, inventory control, material delivery, equipment control and yard/building maintenance in a timely, financially sound and cost effective manner while maintaining high standards of integrity and internal customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Driver/Warehouse/Yard Assistant is directly responsible for: Proactively and cost effectively supporting Project Managers and Site Foreperson by having the right materials, tools and equipment in the right place at the right time. Making suggestions to the Purchasing/Warehouse/Yard Manager for increasing profitability and operational efficiency.
Specific Responsibilities:
Responsible for delivering material on a timely basis as requested by Foremen on properly completed Material Request Forms. Responsible for receiving all material/equipment delivered to the yard, including proper verification and documentation. Route completed documentation to the Purchasing Manager on a timely basis. Responsible for the subsequent disposition of material received into the yard including notification to proper job site, storage and/or delivery, as appropriate. Responsible for keeping warehouse areas clean and tidy. Responsible to assist semi-annual physical inventories of on-site materials. Responsible for maintaining control over the location of all pieces of tagged equipment and tools. Responsible to assist yard and building maintenance. Responsible for performing all duties in a safe and responsible manner. Responsible for contacting the Project Manager and the Field Foreman to notify when material has been received at the office. Assist with the Field people with filling out material request forms and seeing that they are processed properly. Responsible for performing such other duties as may be defined from time to time by the Purchasing/Warehouse/Yard Manager.

The Driver/Yard Assistant will be deemed to be performing satisfactorily when: All responsibilities listed above have been carried out on time, in a professional manner and all reports are timely, up-to-date, and accurate. Has set a continuous excellent personal example of the degree of quality and professionalism that is expected.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Flexible thinking skills Must be able to operate a calculator and computer. Must be able to diplomatically communicate with people. Must be able to write legibly and neatly.

Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

While performing the essential functions of this position, the Driver/Warehouse/Yard Assistant sometimes works in outdoor weather conditions and extreme heat or cold. He/she is occasionally exposed to vibration and occasionally is exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but sometimes is loud.
