Job Summary:
This job posting is for a pooled position and will remain open for the 2026-2027 academic year. Student applicants are encouraged to follow up with the Department Contact listed above regarding their application status. Student positions are filled each semester on a need-to-hire basis; applications are reviewed only when positions are available. This position provides LCC students with hands-on administrative experience while learning about college operations through direct interaction with faculty and staff. Working within the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE), student employees assist with daily operations, customer service, and event setup. Primary duties include maintaining the physical space, assisting CTE staff and faculty, handling data entry, and completing accessibility projects such as video captioning. Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community. LCC policy requires all LCC employees to be residents of the State of Michigan and to perform all work (with limited exceptions) within the State of Michigan. LCC Student Employment:
The primary purpose of student employment is to provide current LCC students the opportunity to acquire job skills and experiences during semesters in which they are attending classes as follows: Enrolled and actively attending the following total LCC credit hours by semester Fall and/or Spring Semester(s) = 6.0 credits minimum (taken over 16-week period) Summer Semester = 3.0 credits minimum (taken over 8-week period) 2.00 GPA minimum (unless it's student's first semester of enrollment at LCC and/or granted approval to waive requirement from the Student Employment Coordinator) High School Diploma or GED Actively pursuing a certificate, associates, or undergraduate degree at

International students (i.e., F-1 visa holders w/ valid I-20 issued by LCC) must meet the following minimum enrollment requirements each semester, in order to maintain employment eligibility per United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS): Fall and/or Spring Semester(s) = 12.0 credits min. (taken over 16-week period) Summer Semester = 3.0 credits min. (taken over 8-week period)
