Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic early childhood education environment. Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and supports diverse learning needs, including children requiring special education or early intervention services. Manage daily classroom activities with effective behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior and engagement. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings, reports, or informal updates. Lead lesson planning sessions that incorporate age-appropriate activities focused on childhood development, early childhood education best practices, and standardized testing when applicable. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols; maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and developmental assessments. Provide guidance and mentorship to assistant teachers or teaching aides to foster teamwork and professional growth within the classroom. Maintain current certifications such as First Aid and CPR; stay informed about best practices in childhood development and preschool teaching methodologies. Experience Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting with demonstrated classroom management skills. Background in curriculum development tailored for early childhood education including literacy education, math instruction, and physical activity programs. Experience supporting children with special needs through individualized plans such as early intervention strategies or special education accommodations. Familiarity with child welfare policies, mandated reporting laws, and health & safety regulations relevant to childcare environments. Prior experience communicating effectively with parents or guardians about children's progress and behavioral concerns. Classroom teaching experience that includes lesson planning, behavioral management techniques, and implementing educational assessments or standardized testing procedures. Knowledge of child development stages from toddler care through preschool years; ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
