This position is for a Lead Teacher with our 3-4yr olds. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula, promote positive behavior, and build strong relationships with children, families, and staff. Your passion for early childhood development and commitment to creating a safe, inclusive space will help children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Duties Develop and execute creative lesson plans aligned with preschool standards, incorporating curriculum development principles and age-appropriate activities. Foster a warm, welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth. Manage daily classroom routines, including transitions, circle time, play activities, and rest periods with effective classroom management strategies. Monitor and assess each child's developmental progress through observations, documentation, and standardized testing when applicable. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns through conferences and written updates. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations such as first aid and CPR certifications. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, early intervention strategies for children with special needs, and implementing Montessori or other specialized teaching methods if applicable. Skills Extensive experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom experience in early childhood education. Proficiency in curriculum development tailored to early childhood stages including toddler care, literacy education, math basics, physical education, and childhood development instruction. Knowledge of special education practices, early intervention techniques, behavior management strategies, and classroom management skills. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with parents, colleagues, children, and community partners. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing methods when necessary to assess learning outcomes. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and child protection policies. Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children to promote holistic development. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; Montessori or other specialized early childhood certifications are a plus.
