The ideal candidate will have dental front office experience, treatment coordination experience, and a strong understanding of dental insurance and patient benefits. This position is more than a traditional front desk role. We are looking for someone who can welcome patients, coordinate appointments, explain treatment plans, discuss financial options, and help patients move forward with recommended treatment. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through their treatment plans and ensuring a seamless experience from appointment scheduling to financial arrangements. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help foster trust and satisfaction among our patients, while your organizational expertise keeps our office running smoothly. Responsibilities Greet and check in/check out patients in a warm and professional manner Act as the main liaison between patients and the dental team, providing clear explanations of treatment options and procedures Schedule appointments efficiently using Open Dental software and confirm upcoming visits via phone or email Assist patients with understanding their insurance benefits, co-payments, and financing options, ensuring transparency and comfort Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately, maintaining confidentiality in compliance with health regulation policies Support the dental team by handling administrative tasks such as data entry, billing, and processing payments Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-appointment instructions and post-treatment care instructions Maintain a welcoming environment by providing excellent customer service and addressing patient questions or concerns promptly Answer phones, schedule and confirm appointments Coordinate treatment plans and follow up with patients Present treatment plans and explain recommended procedures to patients Discuss treatment costs, payment options, and financing Help patients understand their dental insurance benefits and estimated coverage Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Assist with insurance estimates, claims, and basic insurance follow-up Collect patient payments and manage patient balances Follow up with patients who have unscheduled or incomplete treatment Maintain accurate patient accounts and documentation Work closely with doctors, dental assistants, and the rest of the front office team Provide excellent customer service and create a positive patient experience Help meet office scheduling, treatment acceptance, and collection goals Qualifications Dental front office experience required Treatment Coordinator (TC) experience strongly preferred Dental insurance knowledge is highly preferred Comfortable discussing treatment plans and financial arrangements with patients Strong communication and customer service skills Comfortable discussing money and asking patients for payment Organized, dependable, and able to multitask in a busy dental office Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude Experience with Open Dental is a plus Bilingual English/Spanish is required We are looking for someone who is confident, personable, detail-oriented, and motivated to help patients say yes to the treatment they need.
