Full Job Description Role:
The Charge Nurse oversees department operations, providing leadership, mentorship, and support to direct care staff. They coordinate patient care by assessing staffing needs and assigning duties appropriately, ensuring timely, safe, and high-quality care. They collaborate with bedside nurses to develop patient care plans, set professional conduct expectations, and serve as a resource for the unit. The Charge Nurse holds staff accountable for responsibilities and compliance with regulatory standards, aligning duties with organizational values.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN); current RN license in the state or a compact license; BLS certification within 30 days of hire; additional unit-specific certifications may be required.
Skills:
Leadership, clinical expertise, effective communication, regulatory compliance, and teamwork.
Key Duties:
