Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity providing essential psychological services within schools in the Mobile, AL area. This contract role offers the chance to make a significant difference for K-12 students, working directly on campus to support their social, emotional, and academic growth for the 2026-2027 school year. The assignment begins October 1, 2026, and runs through May 26, 2027, with potential for extension.
Key Qualifications:
Valid, current Alabama school psychology license required (proof of licensure must be provided at application) Experience in school settings preferred, with a passion for supporting diverse student populations (K-12) Strong assessment, consultation, and intervention skills in educational environments Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Flexibility to serve multiple schools (itinerant work may be involved depending on testing needs) Committed to working on-site only
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students, including psychoeducational assessments and behavioral observations Provide direct and indirect counseling and intervention services as appropriate Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective support plans Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with district and state requirements Participate in eligibility, IEP, and other student-centered meetings Adapt services to meet changing student and district needs throughout the school year
Position Details & Perks:
