Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference supporting students' academic, social, and emotional success as a School Psychologist serving a PreK caseload in a dynamic educational setting near Laurel, DE. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity is ideal for professionals committed to fostering positive learning environments and advocating for the needs of young learners.
Qualifications:
Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist Demonstrated experience working with PreK populations preferred In-depth knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and educational planning Strong collaboration and communication skills for partnering with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to provide services onsite and effectively manage a diverse caseload
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for PreK students Interpret assessment data and collaborate on individualized education plans (IEPs) Deliver targeted counseling, behavioral support, and intervention services to eligible students Consult with classroom teachers, administrators, and parents to promote student growth and well-being Participate actively in team meetings, providing expert recommendations and insights Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state, district, and ethical guidelines This contract role offers the opportunity to engage closely with young learners and dedicated staff, making a positive, lasting impact on students' early educational experiences.
