Aquatics Manager Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Aquatics Manager to oversee our aquatic facilities, programming, and safety operations. This role is responsible for managing lifeguard staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering a safe, high-quality experience for all swimmers. Schedule & Hours This is a full-time position requiring a non-traditional schedule. Candidates must be available to work the following set weekly hours: Monday through
Thursday:
11:00 AM - 7:30
PM Sunday:
9:30 AM - 6:00
PM Days Off:
Friday and Saturday Key Responsibilities Operations & Safety:
Maintain daily pool operations, including water chemistry testing, filtration monitoring, and strict adherence to local health department regulations.
Staff Management:
Train, and supervise a team of lifeguards, swim instructors, and assistant coordinators. Conduct regular in-service safety training.
Programming:
Develop, schedule, and oversee aquatic programs, including swim lessons, water fitness classes, and special events.
Guest Relations:
Act as the primary point of contact for member inquiries, feedback, and safety concerns, ensuring a welcoming environment.
Emergency Response:
Serve as the on-site incident commander during aquatic emergencies, maintaining a high level of readiness.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in aquatic facility management or supervisory roles.
Certifications:
Current certifications in Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer required (Lifeguard Instructor/LGI preferred).
Technical Skills:
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) designation required, or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
Availability:
Must be fully committed to the specified schedule, including consistent Sunday shifts.
