Join Us as an Activity Lead!
Location:
Wilmington The Autism Society of North Carolina is hiring an Activity Lead to implement support plans and lead program activities that enable autistic campers to achieve. This position will be working with our Young Adult program on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. They will assist with transporting clients, engaging clients ingroup activities, participate in community outings, and work on life skills with clients in a group setting. What You'll Do:
Collaborate with program staff to develop and plan program activities that meet the needs of individuals and groups Prepare materials and spaces for programming, implement scheduled activities, Provide direct support to program participants no less than 85% of work hours, complete required electronic documentation of services Document and collect additional data that pertains to delivery of services Develop supportive relations with Autism Support Professional, provide coaching to other ASPs, Crosstrain staff on individual support plans Ensure compliance with internal and external standards
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or GED equivalency 1+ year's experience with Autism and/or Intellectual /Developmental Disabilities Based in or near the Wilmington area and willing to travel locally Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment Ability to work in a summer camp/ afterschool program environment with many distractions
