Job Requirements:
Experience:
5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with preference for background in complex business litigation, commercial disputes, corporate matters, arbitration, or mediation.
Legal & Procedural Knowledge:
Knowledge of Florida state and federal court rules, filing procedures, and litigation deadline management.
Document & Case Management:
Experience managing discovery, document review, eDiscovery workflows, record production, subpoenas, pleadings, motions, court submissions, trial materials, and case binders.
Research Tools:
Proficiency conducting legal and background research using Lexis, PACER, Accurint, Secretary of State databases, and online platforms.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency operating within a Windows-based work environment and utilizing document management and litigation technology systems.
Communication & Organization:
Written and verbal communication skills, along with file organization, project management, and multitasking capabilities.
Schedule & Availability:
Ability to prioritize work to meet case deadlines, with flexibility for additional hours when required.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare deposition, trial, and record subpoenas in compliance with Florida and federal court requirements. Coordinate third-party record production, summarize records, and organize case materials for attorney review. Analyze, review, and manage documents and data received from clients, opposing counsel, and discovery sources. Assist with pleadings, motions, court submissions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation filings. Support mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation, including trial notebooks, case binders, exhibits, and related materials. Maintain litigation calendars and track deadlines, hearings, conferences, and other key case dates.
