This position will primarily focus on restoring areas of a customer's home that have been opened, altered, or affected during installation or service work . This may include repairing drywall openings, patching stucco around exterior penetrations, repairing or replacing trim and access panels, matching existing textures, and completing painting and finish work. Primary Responsibilities Repair drywall openings created during HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other installation or service work. Install and hang new drywall when required. Patch holes, cracks, cutouts, water-damaged areas, and damaged sections of walls and ceilings. Tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall to create a smooth, paint-ready surface. Match and apply existing wall and ceiling textures, including knockdown, orange peel, popcorn, and similar finishes . Perform stucco patching and repair around exterior penetrations, equipment installations, piping, conduit, and other areas affected by trade work. Blend repaired stucco areas with the surrounding existing finish as closely as reasonably possible. Prepare repaired surfaces for painting, including sanding, cleaning, priming, and masking. Perform interior and exterior touch-up painting and repaint repaired areas as necessary. Match existing paint and finishes as closely as reasonably possible. Repair, replace, or install door frames, molding, baseboards, trim, attic access doors/panels, and similar finish components . Perform basic wood repair, preparation, sanding, cleaning, staining, painting, or finishing as needed. Repair cosmetic damage resulting from installation or service work. Inspect the work area before beginning repairs and identify any additional damage or concerns. Communicate with the appropriate team member when additional work, materials, or authorization may be required. Protect flooring, furniture, walls, and customers' belongings while completing repairs. Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project. Remove job-related debris and leave the customer's home clean upon completion. Maintain professional and courteous communication while working in customers' homes. Qualifications Previous professional experience in drywall repair, handyman work, remodeling, construction, property maintenance, or residential home repair . Strong drywall repair, finishing, and texture-matching skills required. Experience repairing drywall openings created for plumbing, HVAC, or electrical access strongly preferred. Experience with stucco patching and repair preferred. Painting and surface-preparation experience required. Basic finish carpentry skills, including experience working with trim, molding, door frames, and access panels. Ability to accurately measure, cut, install, patch, and finish various building materials. Ability to blend new repairs with existing walls, ceilings, textures, and finishes. Comfortable using common hand and power tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to troubleshoot repair situations and determine an appropriate repair method. Ability to work independently and manage assigned jobs efficiently. Dependable, punctual, organized, and professional. Comfortable interacting directly with homeowners and working inside occupied residences. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to perform physical residential repair work throughout the workday, including: Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Climbing and working from ladders when necessary. Working in attic and access areas when required. Carrying drywall, tools, ladders, materials, and equipment. Safely operating hand and power tools. Working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions. This position is ideal for an experienced handyman or repair technician who enjoys varied work, problem-solving, working independently, and seeing a project through from the initial repair to the final finished product.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
