Sr. Maintenance Technician Reno, NV (Onsite)

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotating on-call responsibilities every 4-5 weeks after training completion. Position Summary JLL is seeking a skilled Sr. Maintenance Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of commercial office building systems throughout its Reno portfolio. This hands-on role serves as a key technical resource responsible for ensuring building systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while delivering exceptional service to tenants. The position requires expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, fire life safety, and mechanical systems, along with strong troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and customer service skills. Key Responsibilities Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, exhaust fans, plumbing systems, electrical distribution equipment, and building infrastructure. Perform preventive, predictive, routine, and corrective maintenance in accordance with JLL maintenance programs and established procedures. Conduct equipment inspections, operational rounds, diagnostics, and system evaluations to maximize reliability and efficiency. Complete tenant service requests accurately, professionally, and within required service levels. Support the development and continuous improvement of preventive maintenance schedules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and maintenance programs. Maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire life safety, furniture, and building control systems to applicable standards. Analyze equipment performance, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend solutions that enhance operational efficiency and equipment reliability. Maintain work orders, time records, production data, and service documentation using computerized maintenance management and technology tools. Coordinate contracted maintenance activities and oversee general facility maintenance responsibilities. Participate in emergency response activities, safety initiatives, and technical training programs. Follow all company safety policies, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Participate in the on-call engineer rotation supporting a portfolio of office buildings. Required Qualifications Minimum of five years of hands-on HVAC maintenance and repair experience. Proven ability to operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain critical building systems, including HVAC equipment, boilers, chillers, exhaust fan units, and mechanical systems. Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, equipment diagnostics, and repair techniques. Experience working with building automation systems (BAS), computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and related technology platforms. Knowledge of safety regulations, hazardous material handling, and regulatory compliance requirements. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities. Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or facilities management certifications. Experience developing preventive maintenance programs, SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance schedules. Commercial office building or property maintenance experience. Familiarity with tenant-focused service environments. Experience participating in emergency response programs and safety training initiatives.
