CNC Machine Operator / CNC Fiber Laser Operator -

North East, PA Pay:

$15.50-$18.00 per hour, based on experience Job Summary We are currently seeking experienced CNC Machine Operators and CNC Fiber Laser Operators to join a sheet metal fabrication operation in North East, PA. Candidates with 2+ years of experience operating CNC equipment or fiber laser machines in a sheet metal fabrication environment may qualify for the top pay rate of $18.00/hour. Candidates with limited or no direct experience may be considered for training if they have prior milling or lathe experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment . Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machinery and/or CNC fiber laser equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications. Perform accurate measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools. Load and unload materials and finished parts. Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality and production requirements. Perform quality checks on completed parts. Assist with CNC programming and machine setup as needed. Perform tooling setup and changes on CNC laser equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all required safety procedures and PPE requirements. Assist with training and mentoring junior operators as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 2+ years of prior experience operating CNC machines and/or fiber laser equipment in a sheet metal fabrication environment preferred. Candidates with little or no direct experience may be considered with prior milling or lathe experience in a sheet metal shop. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings. Proficiency with precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers. Ability to understand CNC machine operation and fabrication processes. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Experience 1+ year of CNC programming experience. Experience with CNC laser setup and tooling. Experience with CNC equipment such as Trumpf, Amada, Accupress, Cincinnati, Bystronic , or similar systems. Experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work around operating machinery and manufacturing equipment. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Pay $15.50-$18.00 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications.
