Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to a variety of industrial equipment, machinery, and structural components. Your expertise will ensure that surfaces meet strict quality standards, are prepared properly, and are finished with precision. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and applying surface treatments to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Operate various hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and welding equipment to apply coatings accurately. Use visual color comparison and precision measuring instruments to ensure color consistency and surface smoothness. Handle materials safely using proper materials handling techniques and operate forklifts or cranes as needed for large or heavy components. Follow strict safety protocols by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and respiratory protection, especially during spray painting or working with hazardous materials. Apply powder coating or auto body repair techniques where appropriate, ensuring finishes meet quality standards in production. Maintain cleanliness of work area, inspect finished surfaces for defects, and document work progress according to manufacturing procedures. Experience Prior experience in industrial painting, construction painting surface preparation, or auto painting is highly desirable. Knowledge of fabrication processes, machining, welding, and auto body repair will be advantageous. Familiarity with construction painting standards and the use of hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment is essential. Experience working in manufacturing environments with lean manufacturing principles is preferred. Warehouse experience involving materials handling equipment such as forklifts or cranes will support your success in this role. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations accurately is required. Strong adherence to safety regulations related to PPE use, respiratory protection, and hazardous material handling is mandatory.
