Job Description

Job Description We are not able to sponsor H1b or any type of work visa. As a Junior Chemist, you will be responsible for researching and improving rubber formulations, testing, inspecting and improving raw materials used in Chemprene products. In addition, this position is responsible for regulatory compliance reporting. You will report to the Director of Product Engineering. This on-site position is based in Beacon, New York. A day in the life of a Junior Chemist can look like Serves as technical point of contact. Provides agile responses to questions. Assist with R D projects Design and develop elastomer materials (NR, SBR, CR, NBR, IIR) and adhesive systems for bonding to fabric substrates (nylon, polyester, cotton) Utilize lab equipment and test apparatuses to fabricate and evaluate developed materials. Perform R D to evaluate materials and develop Specifications and Process Route Sheets (PRS) Evaluate physical and chemical properties of new and alternate materials Prepare test reports and Product Data Sheets Observe and report on production trials Assist in solving manufacturing problems to determine root causes Other projects and duties as assigned. Liaison with inter-company departments to ensure customer satisfaction in quality, on-time delivery and breadth of product offering Works closely with manufacturing and ensuring to ensure customer expectations are met regarding product performance Respond to regulatory compliance requests from our customers, including REACH, RoHS, FDA and others. We are looking for you to have Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science or Chemical Engineering Understanding of cultural differences in global environment Interpersonal skills / good communication in English Technical background Problem solving skills Excellent leadership skills and Business Acumen Role model for the Ammega Values Excellent computer skills including MS Office What we offer you The benefits of working at AMMEGA go beyond the daily work.
