Overview The Program Mentor provides direct support, guidance, and mentorship to participants enrolled in The Outlet and Men Like Me programs. Mentors play a critical role in fostering personal growth, accountability, and positive decision-making while supporting participants' educational, social, and life goals. This position supports program engagement, retention, and positive outcomes through consistent relationship-building and structured activities. Responsibilities Mentorship & Participant Support Build positive, supportive relationships with assigned participants Provide one-on-one and group mentoring aligned with program goals Support participants in goal-setting, decision-making, and problem-solving Serve as a positive role model, reinforcing accountability and pro-social behavior Program Engagement Assist with program activities, workshops, and group sessions Encourage consistent participation and engagement Support youth during school-based or community-based activities Documentation & Communication Maintain accurate and timely case notes and activity logs Communicate participant progress, concerns, and successes to the Program Coordinator Follow confidentiality and data protection requirements Professional Conduct Adhere to agency policies, procedures, and Code of Ethics Maintain appropriate boundaries with participants at all times Participate in required trainings, meetings, and supervision Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned by program leadership Skills Strong knowledge of employment & labor law and social services systems Background in addiction counseling, teaching, coaching or mentoring in community settings Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations Familiarity with workforce development programs and case management practices Excellent client communication skills including interviewing, writing reports, and providing constructive feedback Demonstrated ability to facilitate training & development sessions tailored to individual needs Compassionate approach combined with strong organizational skills for managing multiple cases simultaneously Join us in creating impactful change by empowering individuals through dedicated mentorship! Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 25.0 per week People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Application Question(s): This position is a part‑time role, and you will need to be available Monday-Friday between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
