Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with heavy lifting techniques when necessary, maintaining safety standards at all times. Communicate effectively with clients upon delivery, building strong relationships through professional client communication. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales outcomes. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs. Follow organizational procedures for route driving, merchandising, and inventory management to optimize efficiency. Experience Prior experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation is highly preferred. Retail store experience is a plus, especially roles involving customer service or merchandising. Demonstrated ability in basic math for pricing calculations and route planning. Strong communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards related to commercial truck driving is essential. Proven organizational skills to manage schedules, routes, and delivery documentation effectively.
