Optimized Job Title Change Control Analyst - Engineering Overview / Summary The Change Control Analyst is responsible for leading and executing change management processes and facilitating Change Control Meetings throughout the vehicle development lifecycle. This role manages the validation, authorization, and release of Engineering Change Requests (CRs) while maintaining alignment with program timing, cost, and quality requirements. The Change Control Analyst serves as a key connection between engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional approval teams. The role involves reviewing and validating change requests, supporting engineers through change management processes, monitoring change activity, resolving bottlenecks, and maintaining visibility of program status and metrics. Key Responsibilities Lead and facilitate WERS Change Control and CPE DF meetings, including preparing agendas and managing follow-ups. Review and validate Engineering Change Requests for data accuracy and completeness. Assist and coach engineers and authors in preparing high-quality change requests. Partner with cross-functional teams to drive change request approvals and expedite releases. Manage WERS C-screen and D-screen approvals, including PIN number assignments and documentation. Confirm cost and timing containment for processed changes. Coordinate with plant, vehicle line, engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to obtain required approvals. Track change request throughput and aging requests. Identify and escalate bottlenecks that may affect program timing. Prepare change request status communications and reports, including PO/TO metrics. Support production release activities by validating release documentation and required approvals. Utilize Teamcenter to access and review engineering data, part information, bills of material, documentation, and release-related records. Support engineering release activities and coordinate data required for production release actions. Manage change implementation from initiation through approval and production release. Maintain visibility of program health metrics and change activity. Use Microsoft Excel to manage datasets, analyze data, track change activity and metrics, and develop status reports and summaries. Work across multiple organizations while maintaining accuracy, accountability, and timely execution. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related technical field. Solid understanding of change management processes. Hands-on experience with WERS, including writing change requests, navigating C- and D-screens, and managing release intent. Working knowledge of the WERS change management process and the ability to create, review, validate, and manage Engineering Change Requests. Experience supporting engineering change activities and release processes. Experience with Teamcenter as an engineering data management tool. Understanding of engineering release processes and the relationship between design changes, program timing, manufacturing readiness, and quality. Experience supporting or executing production release activities. Experience managing change implementation from initiation through approval and production release. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including managing large datasets, performing data analysis, tracking metrics, and developing reports and summaries. Experience with Excel formulas, pivot tables, filtering, sorting, and data validation tools. Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken. Strong communication and leadership skills. High sense of urgency and ability to manage quick turnarounds. Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to effectively escalate issues. Ability to work across multiple organizations and cross-functional teams. Ability to coach and guide engineers through complex change management processes. Strong attention to accuracy and accountability. Self-starter with high initiative and a commitment to continuous learning. Data-driven approach to reviewing and validating change requests.
