THE ROLE

LiriCare is hiring a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to support students across a public school district in Allen Park, Michigan.

This role covers four buildings:

two elementary schools, a nonpublic school within the city, and the high school. The caseload is approximately 45 students spanning elementary through high school. You will provide direct speech and language services, including assessments, IEP development, therapy planning, and progress monitoring, working closely with special education teams, classroom teachers, administrators, and families. Because the role spans multiple buildings and grade levels, the district is looking for a clinician who is comfortable managing a varied caseload and moving between sites during the week.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Conduct speech and language assessments for students from elementary through high school Develop individualized speech-language goals and treatment plans Provide direct therapy in areas such as articulation, language, fluency, and social communication Participate in IEP meetings and contribute assessments, goals, recommendations, and progress updates Manage a caseload of approximately 45 students across four school sites Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed Maintain accurate service records and documentation Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and other members of the educational team Provide consultation and support to school staff and families when needed Travel between assigned school sites within the city

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Active Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license, or eligibility to obtain one Any school-based approval or endorsement required by the Michigan Department of Education Experience working with school-age students preferred Understanding of IEPs and school-based special education services Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between sites Ability to work full-time and in person in Allen Park Availability to begin as soon as possible Ability to complete all district-required background checks and onboarding requirements
